AuthorSubject: More IP 5.5 Set up   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Some more questions regarding ImagePrint 5.5 and Epson 2100.

I am running Win XP Pro & Photoshop 6.0.1 & I have set up the Imageprint to "piggy back" the current Epson 2100 settings as recommended by the UK distributer of IP.
I have several questions & please forgive if these are no brainers!

a)Am I printing using the standard Epson driver or the IP version listed in Printer faxes window?

b)What settings should be set up in the printer driver for best results with IP? ie should I be using No Color Management, etc? Also which driver should be adapted as the IP driver seems rudimentary.

c)One of the forums (Yahoo I think) suggested that a lot of tweaking seemed to be necessary to achieve best results.... Where and what tweaking? Surely you don't want to tweak in IP when you have Photoshop? What settings could be changed other than paper size/type & ink colours in IP? Am not hugely impressed so far but am assuming that my set up is not all that it could be.

d)IP does not seem to support layered files - unless flattened they appear in IP as small black business cards??

e)Some greyscale files appear in IP as solarized or negative images??

Suggestions gratefully received
