AuthorSubject: Help with Image Print issue   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Any help or advice with the following would be greatly appreciated:

(1) I've been printing with Image Print 5.5 on 8.5 x 11 premium glossy paper. It only partially prints on the last 1/4 inch of every page. In other words, it does print right up to the edge, but the last 1/4 inch of every page needs more ink and is only partially printed.

What could be causing that? My guess is that I'm making an obvious mistake.

I hope you won't tell me that this is a problem with my firewire connection and communication for the last 1/4 inch of the paper! The reason I say that is because my epson 2200 driver has a very hard time seeing the printer when using USB 2.0. On my particular system firewire works better -- at least with the work-around that Image Print suggested.

(2) Should I first switch a tiff file to the appropriate Image Print printer profile while in Photoshop -- for the specific paper I am using -- before opening the file in Image Print? Or does Image Print transparently use the correct printer profile (assuming I chose the correct profile, of course) -- so that I don't have to change it?

In other words, I pick Adobe 1998 in Photoshop and never change it again -- Image Print will do whatever it needs to do?

(3) When I first load a file to be printed, I get a message telling me that it contains an Adobe 1998 profile (the profile I use in Photoshop) and asking me if it should be used -- yes or no? I have tried both options (yes and no) and can't see any difference in printing in any event.

Should I check yes or no?

Thanks again for any assistance.
