I would like to share this idea with the teachers in this group, which to me, includes Jeff, Andrew, Bruce, etc. I have already given this idea to Katrin, so she could make millions of dollars, but she's now gone on vacation and has abandoned my idea.

Here is my viewpoint. I'd like to know your perspective on it:

When I just completed Katrin's class in SantaFe, she gave us volumes and volumes of tutorials and printouts, and file, and yadayada to take home. Basically, she completely overwhelmed us with data. My theory is that, in real life, when people are given this stuff, they go, "Wow, this is really great that the teacher is giving us so much stuff to take home". But then, they get home, and they put it on their bookshelf, and they never refer to it again, ever.

My theory is that people do not read things any more. It's what I call a "USA Today society", which means that every topic should be limited to about five paragraphs. It's otherwise called the ADD Society.

I wish that Katrin has issued us "Photoshop Stickies". Instead of reams of paper, at the end of the week, she would have simply handed us a 3"x3" pad of StickieNotes, made up of all the tips of Photoshop that the covered the prior week. You could just go through them, and peel off the ones that interested you, and you'd stick that on the side of your monitor. Because in this ADD world, you need to just be able to peek over at the side of your monitor; you'll never go digging through all that stuff from six months ago, to find that certain tutorial on CompositeBlending.

Personally, I'm not really a StickieNote guy, but in this particular case, I could certainly make a case for them.
