Hi Andrew

Finally had a chance to work on the re-made profile but I have to say, it's hardly any different and still really poor in the shadows.

So, 2 questions:

a. How come I can get the inkset to make visually smooth prints, if a little inaccurate, by using the colour sliders alone when a profile cannot do this. The inkset/printer combo can certainly print the colours I am having difficulty with - just not with your profile. The lightening up of the dark browns/reds and then the sudden transition to black is the most obvious change - just convert the 'InkDensity.tif' file to my profile and you will see the jump in the last 3 squares in the red row.

b. There are plenty of users of this inkset out in the print-for pay-world, in fact Gen4 inks are often the set of choice for Ep7000/9000 users. Surely this inkset cannot be all that bad?

Your thoughts?

Nick Rains
