Hi Andrew,

I'm about ready to send my three targets to you...but I'm changing my original profile configuration from Generation Inks to Fotonic Inks on PhotoRag. My profile number is 141.

It was mentioned on this site that dye inks take longer to dry. How long should I let the targets dry before I pack them up? I have central-air on 24 hours a day.

I had a custom profile made with the Generations a few month's ago and was disappointed with the results and reading Nick Rains' thread has me convinced the Generation inks take a lot of work to get going. I've been using Generations for a few years - using the slider method mostly - but was never that knocked out by the results and the ink set is limited to matte paper only - at times I had the urge to print glossy and could not.

I downloaded the Fotonic stock profiles from the Lyson site and the profiles are very, very good - better than any of my Generation prints right out of the gate. Fotonics is a very versatile ink that performs well on matt and glossy paper. And the color gamut is huge - bigger than Epson I believe. The inks will last for 15 to 45 years - that will be long enough for me!

Stay healthy!

Best,

John V.
