How many profiles do you usually make when profiling Offset-CMYK printer or proofer?

I was thinking 2-3 with different black generation(s). GCR2, maybe GCR3 or GCR4 and MaxK. Which ones do you pick?

Do you make several with different "Black Width"?

Do you always click "Balance Black Point"? Why?

thanks

Vjeran
p.s. Subject was supposed to say profiles not prodiles.
