AuthorSubject: When to convert from custom profile to work space   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Here's an issue that suddenly baffles me. Let's say I have made a custom input profile for either a scanner or a camera. I'm really happy with the profile and all I have to do is open an image, assign the profile, and then convert to my work space. Correct? Any editing after that, like sharpening, cropping, etc., can be done in the work space.

But say I have a slight problem in the profile and I either can't (or don't feel like) doing the profile over just to fine tune a certain color; perhaps a yellow being off a bit or a curve adjustment needed.

My question is, is it best to open an image, assign the errant profile, EDIT at this stage, and then convert to the working space OR open, assign, convert, and THEN edit?
My intention being to record the edits in an action which will be basically tied to any future usage of the custom profile.
