AuthorSubject: New Epson 2200 Profile   [Go to Bottom of Page]

I have recently purchased a new Epson Stylus Photo 2200 and have joined IR and have downloaded the three files I need to request an ICC Profile.

Two questions:

1) I have also purchased Monaco EZcolor, with their Optix colorimeter. I have profiled my monitor and Scanner but have not yet profiled the printer. If I follow through with the EZcolor printer profile process, which creates separate profiles for each paper and resolution setting, do I still need the ICC profile from your site?

2) If the answer to the above question is yes, then I need some help. I find the PDF instructions very confusing. In addition to lots of typos, which make me wonder about accuracy, I find trying to sort out the instructions for various OS and Photoshop versions very hard to follow. I recommend you consider developing separate files for each operating system and Photoshop version, or at least making the distinctions more obvious.

In my case when I open the three downloaded target files (Windows 8.5 x 11 version) in Photoshop 7.0 they open @ 50%. If I try to print them as is I get a message saying the image it larger than the print area of my printer. I am not really sure what to do next. Do I need to resize? If so, would you please walk me through that process so I do it right? Also, the instructions say it's OK to alter the resolution setting but does not say why one might want to do that. I am a neophyte so I need some coaching on this entire process.

Thanks - Steve Fisk
