I'm printing from a MAC across a Windows network, to a Windows box loaded w/Epson's Fiery RIP software, to an Epson 7600. So far so good. Since the RIP is in the middle (between my MAC and the 7600) Eye-One sees the 7600 as a CMYK device, which required the Eye-One Publish level license (as opposed to the Eye-One Photo license, which only profiles RGB devices). OK, so I sprung for the additional $$...in for a penny, in for a pound.

Eye-One wants to print out a CMYK chart for the profile.

We print RGB files from PhotoShop and Quark documents (which have a whole soup of content - RGB - CMYK - TIFs, EPS, etc). Is this the correct route, profiling a CMYK chart or do I need to do this differently, perhaps printing the RGB charts from within PhotoShop.

Just sign me, Confused in Manhattan.
