Posted on Sun Nov 9, 2003 7:31 PM can someone explain to me the implications and usefulness of the ambient light head in the new Eye-One Photo package?

is the ambient light head a separate physical product from the spectrophotometer? or is it built into the spectrophotometer?

does it mean that with this ambient light head, i will be able to measure the white point of my GTI PDV, and input this specific white point when profiling my monitor? if yes, i don't recall Match 2.0.3 having the option of keying in a custom white point for monitor profiling, or am i recalling wrong?
isn't this then sort-of in the same vein as Don Hutcheson's view of custom adjusting the monitor's white point to match the viewer's white point?

what does Eye-One Share do? why is it needed in order to use the ambient light head? does Eye-One Share come with the Eye-One Pro package?
