AuthorSubject: CMYK conversion   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Like a lot of other people, I'm jumping into the RGB/CMYK conversion area. I've read Bruce's RWCM and checked posts on the subject, here, from earlier this year and taken what I can from them.

I have a few images that have some out of gamut sky. I haven't been able to make an acceptable conversion from them. I've tried a lot of combinations of the CMYK profiles and Rendering Intents in Psp, but haven't found a combination that will give me a reasonable sky blue.

Do you folks who have a lot of experience doing these conversions have some custom number sets that are more likely to work? Do I have to select the sky areas and work over the curves while looking at the CMYK preview in Mode>Convert to Profile?

Thanks,

Peter
