AuthorSubject: Fixing chromatic aberration from Canon D1s & 17-35 Zoom Lens   [Go to Bottom of Page]

I've been trying to work out how to handle the chromatic aberration (nasty purple fringe in some areas and red and green in others - is this all due to chromatic aberration???) when shooting with my Canon D1s and 17-35 Zoom. I haven't had a chance to upgrade to the newer 16-35, which I hear is better on all accounts.

I tried messing with a program called Panorama Tools, but didn't have much luck (I haven't had the time to really tinker with it and am currently slammed with work).

I have heard that Photoshop CS (haven't had time to get it either) has something in Camera Raw to correct some of this problem, but haven't seen a review of it. The other thing is that I prefer to use the Capture One software for processing the RAW files. Capture One DSLR for Canon D1s seems to give better results, especially in shadow details. What would be the best way to fix this problem. I'll be happy to post files if need be.

Happy Thanksgiving.
