I am about to clear everything in my drives and setup a RAID and would like some advice. I have an Athlon 2100+ XP on an ASUS board w/ 768mb RAM and 2 80 gb HD. The board comes with RAID w/ Promise controller. I have never done an array so I am unsure as to what would be the best way to do it.
First, should I use the board´s RAID software or get some third party one.
Second, How many partitions are optimal for PS CS (which suddenly makes my modest pc crap because of increased file sizes)and what partition should I leave as scratch disk.
Third, what sizes should I leave for each partition.Would it be better if I got an extra HD?
Thank in advance for all the advice.

Sergio
