AuthorSubject: Problems convert to profile   [Go to Bottom of Page]
Lars Ekdahl
Posted on Mon Dec 22, 2003 2:44 AM Am I doing something wrong?

I convert the image to the profile sRGB and save as jpeg and I can see that the image has the embedded profile when I open the image in Photoshop again.

However if I instead use the command “save for the web” as a JPEG and open the image again it is still untagged.

The same thing happens if I use the plug-in ProJEPEG5.2 from Boxtop. If I convert to profile sRGB and save as ProJEPEG5 there is no embedded profile when I open the image again. With this plug-in installed it is even worse. I cannot now no longer convert to profile using the ordinary Photoshop command “save as”, and save as an ordinary jpeg. There is no embedded file when opening the image again. I have first to remove the plug-in from Photoshop plug-in folder to get Photoshop back to basic.

Probably some bug, which course the ProJEPEG5.2 plug-in to highjack something in Photoshop, but why happens this also with the command “save for the web”? (and the Boxtop plug-in removed from my Photoshop plug-in folder)

I have send a mail to Boxtop three times asking if it is a bug, but unfortunately they are not answering.
