This is an FYI.

Having purchased my 4th profile (2 prior to IR, 2 post IR), I thought I had the "using profiles" procedure down. However, when my new profile was downloaded it seemed/looked like it was ready to go. It arrived with the .icm extention (I'm on a Mac OS X and know about the extention thing) and the icon looked like all the other expanded profiles. Low and behold, PS could not find it after placing it in my ColorSync folder.

After experimenting and researching all the IR forum messages and other IR support info for about 2 hours, I tried what I thought I didn't need to do. I expanded/unstuffed what I though didn't need unstuffing (previous stuffed profiles always had a .sit extention). This newly unstuffed file had an unfamiliar ".i.1" extention, but low and behold, it worked.

BOTTOM LINE = unstuff the profile after downloading even if it looks like it doesn't need unstuffing.
