AuthorSubject: iCColor vs. i1 & Spectro Scan   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Andrew & Co.-

I've been doing a series of comparisons between profiles built with data from the Spectro Scan, i1, and ICColor devices. The Spectro and i1 deliver extremely close matches in terms of the final visual characteristics of the test image run through the profiles. But the iCColor consistently produces a "cooler" looking result in the final image. I haven't had time yet to run the profiles through the compare function in the measure tool so I don't know what the actual delta E results might be.

Using spectral data with all, TC918 target, same settings in PM4, same printer, RIP (IP 5.6), paper, etc.

Question - have you seen anything like this and is there something about the iCColor in terms of how it measures that could be the cause of this?

Thanks.
