AuthorSubject: Batch Processing - "Convert to B&W; Pro" question   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Hi,

Any Photoshop CS users who use Imaging Factory's 'Convert to B&W; Pro' ever run actions/droplets etc?

I have several hundred color JPEGs from a shoot yesterday which I need to convert to B&W; then post as a review site.

The folks at Imaging Factory sent me the following instructions:

"To do batch processing you can use the following procedure:

- Create a new script in the action palette,
- Select "Insert Menu Item" from the action palette popup menu,
- Select "Apply Last Filter" from the main menu Filter,
- Save the script

You can then run the filter once to have it save the settings required, and
subsequently do a batch of images using the script from above to apply the
"Last Filter" to all the images."

But they don't seem to make any sense.

If you can shed any light on this I would be very, very grateful.

Thanks very much,

Steven

PS: Despite my apparent confusion in processing many images at once from color to B&W;, the 'Convert to B&W; Pro' software really rocks. You can set up 'profiles' such as say, 'Tri-X' and it does a beautiful job. The site is at: http://www.theimagingfactory.com
