AuthorSubject: ImagePrint Print Size   [Go to Bottom of Page]

Hi Folks:

I'm trying to print several 40x55-inch Epson Ultrachrome prints, using Premium Luster, on my Epson 9600 printer, using ImagePrint 5.6. I'm using a PC running Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 4. The four prints, which are a series of seasonal images, are all sized to 40x55-inches @ 180 ppi, and are approximately 250 mB in file size. I'm printing each print at 1440 dpi - 4 pass using ImagePrint, using a profile I made myself recently using a Gretag-Macbeth Eye-One system. Incidentally, this profile, the first I've made with the Eye-One, is superb...better than any of the supplied ImagePrint paper profiles.

Two of the prints printed fine, but the other two both stopped printing after about 49.5 inches and 50.5 inches, respectively. The printer just hung up, and I eventually had to do a Reset to clear the printer. In the ImagePrint Spooler, each of the print jobs that had the problem indicated that "error 163" had occurred. I've sent an email to Iryna at Colorbyte Software to request their help also.

Do any of you folks know of any file size limitations in Windows 2000 that might be causing the last few inches of the image to not print? I have plenty of hard drive space and RAM available and I defragmented my hard drive before making the prints. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
