AuthorSubject: ImagePrint & 7000 w/ Pigment Inks   [Go to Bottom of Page]

I recently installed ImagePrint 5.6 (MAC 10.3/ PS CS) for use with both my Epson 2200 and 7000. The 2200 looks OK with the canned profiles (not as good as IR custom profile), but the 7000 is so far off base that I'm not so sure a profile can adjust it. A gray ramp prints very aqua green and my test images look very cyan in areas that should be neutral. I am using third party pigment inks and I know that profiles will be necessary, but just how much can they correct? These particular inks (Indelible FineArt) print very good through the Epson driver with Epson profiles. I guess my question is "Has anyone had experience with IP drivers that were extremely biased and was it possible to correct them with a good profile?"
I need to decide whether to return ImagePrint or stick with it and get profiles from IR.
By the way, any ideas when IP6.0 is shipping?
Thanks,
Cynthia Wood
