I am attempting to profile my Minolta Scan Multi Pro using Lasersoft's
Silverfast 6 Ai.

I purchased their IT8 target, and follow the instructions (and Ian Lyons
tutorial) quite clearly, and the procedure results in a "calibration
successful" message.

When the resulting profile is invoked in the presets
for a scan, I get some pretty drastic posterization and color reversals (some reds are blue) in the prescan image, and a nearly identical result when a full scan is completed and opened in photoshop.

For comparison, I tied scanning the same transparency with the color mgmt
off and I get a fairly normal, albeit "non color managed" image.

My intent in purchasing this sofware was to make my prescan to photoshop
file transition more predictable.

Thanks,

Brian Silcox
