AuthorSubject: A Question of Ethics   [Go to Bottom of Page]

In the past I've seen information from this forum shared on other, private forums.

I have wondered whether this is ethical or not. My thoughts were that it was not, but I kept quiet about it at the time.

Now, I find that the friend with whom I made the comparison Canon 10D and Nikon D70 shots and I have been discussing the relative lack of information regarding the logical progression of correcting an image in Adobe Camera Raw. He's a Photoshop Ace. By comparison, I'm a beginner, but he doesn't know either. We both think that making adjustments for density (levels) should be the first logical step, but that isn't the first step available in ACR.

So, I have downloaded Jeff Schewe's first 4 articles on Digital Workflow but I have NOT read them, I have not even opened them yet.

My question... is it 'right' or 'wrong' for me to share this information with my friend, (and other friends) who is/are not a member(s) here?

Thanks in advance to anyone who will offer me guidance on this matter.

Patrice
