A colleague of mine and I are considering purchasing an Epson Styus Pro 7000 for low end printing needs - it is available at what seems to be a reasonable price. Putting aside any print quality issues rslated to this being an older generation printer, I have a couple concerns:

1) Some people at Epson say they will continue manufacturing ink cartridges for this printer while others say they will not. Anybody have any educated guesses on this? I'm assuming it will depend on the installed base but I have no idea how many of these printers are still out there.

2) Epson says they will not support/repair the printer going forward. Anybody have any idea on how hard it will be to get this printer fixed if it has any problems?

Thanks.
