AuthorSubject: IP Output 1440 vs 2880   [Go to Bottom of Page]

I've searched IR but haven't found a clear answer (perhaps because the answer is "it depends?"):

When highest print quality, not speed or amount of ink, is the objective, does 2880dpi output using IP 5.6 to a Epson 2200 have advantages over 1440dpi?

One post suggested 1440dpi may actually be superior to 2880dpi in output quality, and that ColorByte put-in the 2880dpi option to avoid dealing with requests for it, and that CB recommends using only 1440dpi.

Other posts suggest that 1440dpi sometimes causes banding that disappears at 2880dpi.

What are you guys using?

Thanks.
