AuthorSubject: Are decimals possible in color picker?   [Go to Bottom of Page]

I'm wanting to know if it is possible to get the color picker in Photoshop to use decimals for the Lab numbers. I've used a spectrodensitometer to get a Lab reading off of a color sample that I'm trying to match. It's a neutral beige color that shows slight differences readily. The instrument gives me Lab numbers including decimals, but I found that I could not enter decimals into the Lab fields in color picker. Is there a way to override this? I'm quite close on a match by rounding up or down, but am guessing that I could nail it if I could be a little more precise on the numbers (too optimistic?). I apologize, as I'm not well-versed in using Pantone colors, which might be a better approach. Also, just out of curiousity, is the number field at the bottom of the color picker for Pantone colors or something else? Thanks in advance...
