G'day Experts,

Please can you advise --

In an endeavour to produce an exact file from a RGB corrected one to the Prepress house in their CMYK supplied Profile the Scenario is:

I open my Adobe RGB file and in View Custom Proof/etc and I open with the said CMYK profile .

With Paper white ticked--a bluish caste appears --this with judicious use of curves/levels/CBal/etc is diminished.

I have it pretty close--so I now Convert to the supplied profile-yes?.

I do NOT embed it and it now looks really punchy from the RGB-but I'm told that is OK at this stage.

OK, Mr. Hansen states you correct in the RGB mode before you convert.

I recall Ms Eismann does it with adjustment layers in the CMYK mode.

Is any manipulation version the better for this particular method ?

Trying to get this sorted-thank you and grateful.

Des W
